Every two years an International Architecture Exhibition is organized by →La Biennale di Venezia.
The Biennale appointed Mr. Alejandro Aravena as the curator of 15th exhibition in 2016. Mr. Aravena selected the following title for the exhibition: REPORTING FROM THE FRONT.
This Exhibition is the leading international platform for architecture in the world and took place from May 28th to November 27th 2016 (Preview May 26th and 27th) in the Giardini, the Arsenale and in various other venues in Venice.
In 2014 the exhibition hosted 65 national participants and attracted 228,000 visitors in addition to the 12,214 visitors who attended the preview. The 2014 exhibition had extraordinary media coverage with over 3,357 accredited journalists.
Biennale Architettura 2016 – Reporting From the Front – registered 260,000 visitors (exact figure: 259,725), on top of the 14,180 visitors of the preview days. These figures mark an increase of 14% and 16% respectively when compared to the 228,000 visitors and 12,214 preview attendants of 2014. Great interest from the media, with over 4,000 registered journalists.
